Recently my friend Kasia asked me to share a yoga practice with her readers on her blog The Savvy Dreamer I have been following her healthy lifestyle blog for a while now because she shares such delicious recipes, interesting travel stories, helpful fashion and beauty tips. Since I really enjoy teaching yoga and sharing practice sequences, I was very enthusiastic about sharing a beginner practice with her readers.
Many people have asked me about a practice that would be best suited to someone who is just starting out and would like to enjoy the many benefits of doing yoga. I have created a sequence that I think helps to strengthen and bring increased mobility to the entire body AND it can be done in less than an hour. If you are looking to improve flexibility, begin a weight loss regimen, improve mobility or de-stress, this is a great sequence for you! To learn the full sequence please visit Kasia’s Blog
I would love to hear of any poses that have helped you. Please feel free to comment below and tell me if there are any other areas you would like a focused practice on. Tight Hips? Maybe poses best for sleep? I’d love to hear!
Have a wonderful week😄

I do not follow it in this routine but I usually do pose 6 and 7. Great for back pain

Doing what you can, especially with low back pain. Being mindful, sounds like you are doing the right thing for you:)

This is great. I have been doing yoga for a long time but I truly believe that it’s beneficial to go back to the very basics. It can really help refine your practice. And I would love a bedtime yoga routine that’s relaxing but not too easy!

I’m going to be honest, apart from the sphinx and child pose, these all look really hard to me still! I really lack flexibility and core strength though. I’d love to get into yoga but I think I’d need to go to guided lessons at first.

They may look challenging, but they don’t have to be done to perfection. The whole practice is a process, a lesson in person would be very helpful to start for sure:)

For me it’s all about breathing! I have one of these ‘invisible’ illness so actual yoga isn’t always possible. Breathing can calm my mind and body and I’m glad I can use it. Great post as always lisa x

Yes, the breathing is such an integral part and very helpful all on its own. Thanks Tahnee:)

Lisa. Those are nice images with the poses. If you could maybe make a video for each post of your doing the poses, then it makes people like me believe that we could just do this in a minute to start with.
